Inman Park
 

It’s hard to beat the charm of a neighborhood whose first residential lots were put up for sale in 1889! With a rich hostory as the first planned residential suburb of Atlanta, Inman Park was named for it’s original financier, Samuel Inman, a local cotton broker. As was typical in the late 19^th Century, many prominent Atlanta families built Victorian Homes on tree-lined picturesque streets.

Inman Park’s local logo is a butterfly, which represents the metamorphosis the neighborhood underwent to become what it is today: a fun, family-oriented and young neighborhood with wonderful shopping and delicious eateries! Inman park is most famous for its annual Inman Park Festival, featuring music, artists, and perhaps Atlanta’s most fun and eclectic neighborhood parade.

The National Register of Historic Places includes Inman Park on its list of Atlanta neighborhoods. Two miles East of Downtown, Inman Park is bordered by: Krog Street to the West, Moreland Ave to the East, Lake/Austin Ave to the North and Dekalb Ave to the South.
